Or, physical therapy can be FUN!
As many of you know, I've been struggling with hip and back pain for years. We were finally able to get some insurance, and so I embarked on the journey of finding out exactly what the hell was wrong.
First step, general practitioner. Mine in the new plan happens to be an internist, board certified. After manipulating my leg and poking and prodding me, he decided to send me for x-rays, which showed some arthritis in my hip. Then he decided I ought to see a specialist, since the pain was bad enough to limit my range of motion to less than 50%, and off I went to the orthopedic surgeon.
She suspected a herniated disc, and did more x-rays. Then off to MRI - a trip through hell. I came out the other side of that experience with the worst migraine I'd had in years, and I prayed for death or unconsciousness, whichever would come first.
